McNair’s Lobbyist Consultant Lynn Stokes-Murray of McNair Law Firm has been elected to serve on the Board of Directors of The Nickelodeon Theatre for a three-year term along with Tracy Jones, Bob Mason and Wendi Nance. "The Nick" is the only non-profit art house theater in South Carolina and is the home for 25,000 filmgoers each year.
"These board members each have talents that will move the Nickelodeon Theatre closer and closer to our goals and our newly renovated theater on Main Street,” said Andy Smith, the Executive Director of the Nickelodeon Theatre in the October 16th, MidlandsBiz article.
The Nickelodeon Theatre is one of several civic and charitable organizations where Mrs. Stokes-Murray has volunteered as an officer or director. She also serves as Chairwoman of the Board for The Advocacy Group, the Education Director of South Carolina Girls' State, a member of the Board for the Girls Scouts of SC Mountain to Midlands, on the Columbia College President's Advisory Council and the Steering Committee for the Nickelodeon renovation project.
