McNair Law Firm was presented with the “Above and Beyond” award by the Employer Support of The Guard and Reserve (ESGR) earlier this year.  Following a nomination by one of its employees, Sergeant Lee Gallman, with the SC Army National Guard, 1055th Transportation Company, McNair was one of 15 companies, and the only law firm in the state, to be recognized.

Sergeant Gallman served in Iraq from April of 2009 to April of 2010 in the 41^st Infantry Brigade Combat Team as an automated logistical specialist and SAMS-E administrator.  As an integral representative in the Army’s supply and warehousing specialist team, he helped to ensure the safety of the troops through his diligence and indispensable skill.

McNair is a proud supporter of Sergeant Gallman and our troops for their service to our country.  During his deployment, McNair employees supported Sergeant Gallman by sending numerous care packages, notes and expressions of gratitude for his commitment.

The Above and Beyond Award recognizes employers at the state and local level who have gone above and beyond the legal requirements for granting leave and providing support for military duty by their Guard and Reserve employees.  The award is given to a select few out of thousands of employers throughout the state that employ Guardsmen and Reservists
