McNair Law Firm, P.A. is proud to announce that shareholder Bernie Ellis will serve a one-year term as President of the Kiwanis Club of Greenville, beginning this month.

The Kiwanis Club of Greenville is the oldest of its kind in the state of South Carolina. Founded in 1919, its mission is deeply rooted in community and focuses on serving children in the Greenville area through various initiatives. One such program, an annual golf tournament first held in 1937 for high school boys, is said to be the longest sponsorship of any high school athletic event in the nation. 

“I am excited about this opportunity with the Kiwanis Club of Greenville,” said Ellis. “It provides a great means for serving our community and for spending time with great people.”

Ellis is a litigation attorney in McNair’s Greenville office. He brings more than 20 years of experience in the state and federal courts in South Carolina and practices primarily in the areas of business and government litigation. He is also experienced in mediation and arbitration and is a certified mediator. 

Throughout his career, Ellis has been involved in leadership positions in community organizations in Columbia and Greenville. In addition to his new role with the Kiwanis Club of Greenville, he is a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America and a member of the South Carolina Children’s Theatre Board of Directors.
