George Morrison, an associate in McNair Law Firm's in the Charleston office, is working to help establish a new public-private partnership, Engaging Creative Minds, as a separate nonprofit organization through their pro bono efforts. George has also been named as a Board Member through his involvement.
This new partnership in Charleston County is aimed to give students more access to the arts and as highlighted in an article written by Diette Courrege Casey in The Post & Courier, it "will benefit eight pilot schools starting in January, and its goals are to engage students in learning through the arts and enhance schools' partnerships with local artists."
"Engaging Creative Minds has received the support of Charleston, Mount Pleasant and North Charleston, as well as the College of Charleston and the South Carolina Arts Commission. Private donors include The Boeing Company, Target, the McNair Law Firm, Gil Shuler Graphic Design, Alloneword and philanthropist Anita Zucker."
