McNair Law Firm today announced that attorney Jeremy A. Stephenson was elected President of the Charlotte Area Society of Human Resource Management (CASHRM) for a one year term beginning January 1, 2012. Mr. Stephenson has been a Board member since 2008.
In addition, Mr. Stephenson has also just been elected to the North Carolina Bar Association’s Labor & Employment Law Council for a three year term beginning July 1, 2012.
Mr. Stephenson is an experienced trial attorney based in McNair’s Charlotte office. He defends employers before administrative agencies and in courts in matters including claims of employment discrimination, wrongful termination, breach of contract, workplace bodily injuries, wage and hour violations, and represents businesses in drafting and enforcement of non-compete and similar agreements. He is a frequent speaker and author on employment law and related topics.
His other civic involvements, past and current, include: Chair of the North Carolina Association of Defense Attorneys - Employment Law Committee; the Mecklenburg County Bar Association; the Defense Research Institute’s Employment and Insurance Committees; the Risk and Insurance Management Society; and he serves as a pro bono Attorney for the Council for Children's Rights.
