Overview
Robin Stanton practices in the Columbia Business section and divides her practice between real estate and lending work and commercial workouts and bankruptcy. Robin is experienced in both real estate based and asset based lending from the borrower and the lender perspective. Robin also practices in the area of commercial real estate acquisition and sales, and asset sales. Additionally, Robin works with both distressed companies and financial institutions in connection with out of court restructuring, reorganizations, debtor in possession financing, liquidations, bankruptcy sales, bankruptcy claims, preference litigation, and all other aspects of commercial bankruptcy and restructuring.

- Served as debtor’s counsel in this Chapter 11 bankruptcy case of a 500 employee, $225 million steel mill
- Served as debtor’s counsel in this Georgia Chapter 11 case of a 900 employee, $150 million paper mill
- Represented the primary secured creditor in a Chapter 11 case of one of South Carolina’s largest manufacturers
- Representation of numerous financial institutions, insurance companies and other secured creditors in bankruptcy cases, out-of-court restructurings, and workouts
