After serving in the United States Air Force, Jimmy joined the Georgetown, South Carolina, law firm of Moore, Flowers & Doar, later becoming a partner in the firm, which merged with McNair Law Firm, P.A. in 1987. He is a shareholder in the firm's Charleston office.
