Overview
Rita focuses her practice on employment law, physician representation and business litigation. She litigates in federal and state courts and administrative tribunals in matters involving employment, healthcare and complex business issues. She has extensive experience as a certified circuit court mediator.
By gubernatorial appointment, she served as director of the South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation from 1999 to 2003. This experience enables her to provide counsel on a broad range of employment, workplace safety and professional licensing/disciplinary issues.
