Overview
Following law school, Ned Johnson joined a management-side labor law firm in Greenville, South Carolina. His practice included all areas of labor law and employment relations, particularly supervisory training and union representation elections. In April 1985, he joined McNair Law Firm, P.A. with the charge to coordinate development of a Labor Law practice.
As a shareholder of the Firm, Ned has practiced in all areas of labor relations law representing management for over thirty years. His practice has emphasized counseling management in proactive preventive measures to avoid the cost and disruption of union organizing drives, discrimination charges and wage/hour matters. He has successfully represented companies with as few as five and as many as five thousand employees undergoing union representation attempts. In addition to his labor relations practice, Ned has an active governmental affairs practice on the state and federal level.
- Successful in defeating over eighty union organizing drives in textile, automotive, manufacturing, steel, chemical, longshoreman and hospitality industries covering the entire nation and including many Fortune 500 companies
