Overview

Nate is a shareholder in McNair's Charlotte office, where he focuses his practice in the areas of intellectual property procurement, enforcement, and transactional matters. He has experience in patent and trademark procurement and portfolio management. In addition to helping his clients protect their inventions through preparation and prosecution of patent applications, Nate also assists his clients with identifying enforcement licensing opportunities. He also works with his clients on developing strategic plans regarding trademark counseling and aids them in attaining trademark portfolio development. Nate also has transactional experience in areas such as intellectual property joint development and ownership, patent and trademark licensing, software licensing, software-as-a-service subscriptions, and the exchange of confidential information. 

Before joining the McNair team, Nate was the chief intellectual property counsel for a
global, publicly traded, technology company, managing all aspects of intellectual
property matters. He is also licensed as an engineer by the Florida Board of
Professional Engineering.
